Synthesis, characterization and electrocatalytic study of Pd supported on CeO2–N, S-rGO composite towards hydrogen and oxygen evolution reaction

The sustainable production of hydrogen and oxygen through the electrolysis water requires development an efficient electrocatalyst. In this work, we report electrocatalytic activity Pd nanoparticles dispersed on CeO2/N, S-rGO (where N, represents nitrogen sulfur-doped reduced graphene oxide). were synthesized by hydrothermal chemical reduction methods, respectively. Electrochemical measurements towards evolution reaction (HER) (OER) show a high catalyst. Among electrocatalysts Pd/CeO2/N, exhibits lower overpotential (75 mV 240 mV) at 10 mA/cm2 Tafel slope value (44 mV/dec 42 mV/dec) for HER OER, chronoamperometric linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) electrocatalyst shows negligible decrease in current density twelve hours minor change polarization curve after 10,000 cycles, superior stability could be attributed to synergetic effect between support. This work demonstrates facile way develop effective stable exploiting Pd/Metal oxide interface.
